37...38...

I'm not really sure how almost 3 weeks flew by and we didn't get a post in, but it definitely happen.  It's hard to believe that in about a week, this active little boy will be in our arms.  We absolutely cannot wait!

So last you heard, I was going to spend the week standing on my head and doing any and everything we could to get the little guy to flip.  Well...it worked!  My doctor wasn't too impressed when I told her I was on my head (oops), but in my defense, I told her what I intended to do.  She apparently didn't think I was serious :)

So at 37 weeks, Jack decided it was time to get into place and flip back.  Jon is so much more laid back about the flipping and dilation situation- as he is with most everything else.  The last 2 visits have been about the same as far progression.  We are about 40% effaced and Jack has still been sitting pretty high.  Jon says Jack obviously works well under pressure since he flipped at the last minute and we should just lay off & not put too much pressure on.  If this is any indication of how this little boy will be, I see many last minute reports and projects being done at midnight...though I can't say I didn't do the same :)

We are very anxious to meeting the little guy, but we've been soaking up every second we have together before he gets here.  We've been enjoying our relaxed mornings in bed and date nights while we still have them.  We've made a vow to keep doing date nights, but we both know it won't be nearly as easy as it is right now...and it will be totally worth it.

Jon is no longer traveling (Dr. Walker's orders), and my boss has been nice enough to let me finish out my time working from home.  We are both thankful I won't be making that commute anymore.  It was getting hard to touch the pedals with this big belly haha, I kept having to scoot the seat back, but then I was driving with my tippy toes.

If Jack still isn't here, we head back to the doctor on Wed for what is hopefully our last checkup.  I can't believe we will (hopefully) get to meet our son this week.  Those coming to the hospital, just a heads up, there is NO cafeteria, so you might want to grab food before you come or bring change for the machines.  Jon and I are already brainstorming as to what my first meal will be.  While I'm dying to have sushi, grocery store to-go just isn't going to cut it haha.  Likely something like a big juicy hamburger will do after all that work :)  We shall see!

Until then...have a great week!

Below are the pictures of the finished nursery.

Jon's dad gave him that uncut roll of Topp's baseball cards when he was 10.
