24 Weeks

6 months- WOW!  I think both of us are a little shocked 6 months has already arrived.  This year has flown by.  This was an eventful week/weekend for all 3 of us.  We flew out to Maryland to see our good friends Amanda and Chauncey get married.  We stopped for some delicious crab cakes when we got there on Thursday night.  I have never had REAL crab cakes; good gosh have I been missing out!  I don't think Nugget was too impressed, because I got heartburn shortly thereafter, and every other time I ate crab that weekend.  Friday the guys went fishing, despite Hurricane Sandy heading our way.  Apparently it was the calm before the storm, because they said it was perfect weather & the fish were biting.

Saturday was my birthday; the BIG 3-0.  Funny how I used to think 30 was soooo old.  A big hearty breakfast is my weakness, so Jon & I were on the hunt for a little diner.  The fall colors were gorgeous (another first for me), so we decided a drive would be nice.  We found a delicious little fisherman's diner that had pancakes the bigger than my face.  Jackpot!

The wedding was beautiful!  It was very windy and cold for this TX girl, but at least we were indoors for the reception.  While we were boarding our flight home on Sunday, they said over the intercom that we were the last flight out of that gate.  We were so happy to be back home in dry TX :)  We got home and our front door was full of UPS deliveries for Nugget...yippee! 

23 Weeks

This week we took our first plane ride while preggo.  Everything went well except for a little motion sickness.  I finally got to see some of my favorite customers, and the little guy even got some presents.  Shoes will not be something Nugget lacks!  I have a love for shoes and so do most of the women in his family...as well as my friends.  We can't believe next month marks 6 months!!!  We definitely need to get the nursery started.  We have a wedding this weekend but the following weekend is marked for painting.  Time is flying by...

22 Weeks

This weekend was the little guys first time to ACL (Austin City Limits music festival).  We had a great time, though I was a little more paranoid with the crowds than I have usually been.  They had some great acts playing; The Roots, The Black Keys, Umphrey's Mcgee & Florence & the Machine being some of our favorites.  Nugget kicked through most of the shows.  As usual, we had some yummy food!  ACL is never complete without a big bag of kettle corn.  Not sure we will make it back next year, but hopefully 2014.

21 Weeks

We had the big UT vs WVU game this past weekend.  It was such a great time, but with a disappointing outcome (for me).  Nugget hasn't really heard anything that loud before- I think he was kicking the entire game.  We tailgated with Uncle Jordy, Fisher and the Solid Border crew- such a great day!

Happy 5 months to our little Nugget and happy 32nd to Daddy!  I think the people in my gym finally realize that I'm pregnant and not just eating too many cupcakes.
