36 weeks!!

9 months pregnant...9 months pregnant??!!

I can't believe we have hit the 9 month mark.  I remember at 5 weeks when we found out we were pregnant thinking 9 months was so far down the line.  It's been so much fun and exciting being pregnant; the time has flown by.  Only a few more weeks to go!

It has been a productive weekend & week.  We have washed any & everything possible, stroller is ready, the carseats are installed, birth plan is done, hospital bags are packed and we are ready to go!  The nesting is in full swing and I can't sit still.  So I was a VERY happy girl when Pottery Barn called and said our dresser will be delivered on Monday!  Finally our last piece of furniture for his room will be here.

We had our 36 week checkup today and we are excited to say...we are already 1cm dilated!!  My jaw hit the ground when Dr. Walker told me that.  She said this doesn't really give us a time frame- it could be this weekend or it could be another 3 weeks. I've thought he would come early, but not sure I was expecting to already be at 1cm.  His head is still at about -2 or -3, so he still has a ways to drop, but we are sort of happy about this, because the little guy still needs to flip back to the head down position.  Dr. Walker said she will give him one more week, and then she might have to flip him back herself.  We go back on Wed and will do a sonogram to figure out exactly where he is.  We will also find out roughly how big he is.  According to all sources, he is about 6-6.5 lbs.  Dr. Walker said this sounds about right; I'm just praying he's not already 8lbs since he's gaining 1/2 a pound each week.  So needless to say, for the next 6 days we will be playing the belly buds, doing the flashlight trick and doing some handstands :)

Hope everyone has a great week!

34...and 35 weeks :)

35 weeks...and 34 as well?  Welp, sorry, but I just can't get my act tgoether and get this updated on time.  Sooo the last 2 weeks.

34 weeks started at the doc and we found out our little guy had started the big drop AND flipped!  He was pointing head down and heading in the right direction.  I'm convinced that he is going to be early, but I guess we will see.  He's about 4lbs and 18 inches.  I can't believe he's going to gain about 1/2 lbs each week!  Praying he's not a 10lber :)

Audrey and Wendy put on the most amazing baby shower for us last weekend.  The theme was a mustache bash; who would have ever thought of everything you can find with a mustache on it.  We had all our close friends and family over and celebrated our little nugget.  Jack got completely spoiled!  It's amazing to have so much love and support for our little guy. I think everyone is ready to finally meet him...I know we are!

Guys bottle chugging contest.  HILARIOUS.

35 weeks- the swelling has officially started!!!  My toes are beginning to look like little sausages by the time I get home at night. We started our weekly checkups to see if the "process" has started and to make sure all is well with the little one.  His heartbeat is still in the 140's and he is EXTREMELY active.  They say that he is about 5-5.5lbs and is likely sleeping about 90-95% of the day.  Personally, I think he's sleeping about 65 % of the day and is having a little party of his own the rest of the day.  We've had so much fun watching his movements in the evening...still waiting for the foot print.  Speaking of feet...I think Jack got sick of me tickling his little foot that kept appearing on the right side and he apparently decided to flip BACK to feet down, head up.  Dr. Walker said she's not too concerned and that he still has 2 weeks to flip head down.   Good news is at this point, even though he would be a preemie, studies show that he would probably be just fine and healthy.  Hang in there at least 2 more weeks buddy!

9 months, here we come!

33 weeks

Well...we are late again :)  33 weeks...4 days.

First, Happy new year!!  2012 was such an incredible year with so many fabulous memories.  My favorite highlights are: we got married in March 2012, then the next week put an offer on the house we had been eyeing up for a few months, bought that same beautiful house & moved in the first weekend of May. Then one June morning, I got the best news of my life, we were going to have a baby!  I can't believe that was 8 short months ago; it's been such a fun ride and only going to get better.

NYE was as exciting as one can imagine.  I surprisingly got off work at a decent time and was able to stay up until midnight.  I thought for sure I'd be in bed by about 9:30 but I fought it.  I think I was asleep by 12:05, but I still made it :)  Jack has his TV hung and more clothes in his closet.  And...our chair finally arrived!  I was so happy to see the truck show up, I wanted to hug the delivery man.  His room is finally coming together and looking like a nursery.  We started building the shelves for his room; well I helped sand them, but then got kicked out for the staining due to the fumes.  Tomorrow we will put them together and hopefully get them hung.  I have the most amazing hubby :)

Today we got to meet our neighbor's newest member of the family; their son Ru.  He's SUCH a sweet, adorable 18 month old.  They just got back from picking him up in China the week of Christmas.  He has 2 big sisters, 3 (or maybe 4) dogs, 1 cat, and 2 amazing parents; he is surrounded by lots love and was smiling the entire time we were there. He's a happy little boy.

Next weekend we have our baby shower thanks to Auntie Audrey and Wendy!  We are so excited to see all our friends and family.  Patti Ann (Jon's mom) is flying to TX- yippee!!!!  She's going to be the most amazing gma. I'm sure it will be an amazing weekend.

Hope everyone has a great week.  We wish you lots of love & happiness in 2013.
